In fact, if you've stopped in recently, you may have already noticed the current banner, clicked on it to see Himitsu's lovely compilation of anime movies, and wondered, 'what the heck?'
Well, our staffers are hard at work as I write, developing a new survey just for you. This time we want to here all about your favorite anime movie in the Anime-Source Favorite Movie Survey!

Posted by AJtheFourth on Wednesday, June 24th 2009 |

Is 120 billion yen enough to save a country? How about if we divide it among 12 people and give them a cell phone that can make anything possible? What if we add to that a developing relationship and 20,000 NEETs? Confused yet? Join me, Anime-Source Staff Writer AJtheFourth, as I try and uncover the mysteries behind the spring season's breakout hit, Eden of the East.

As much as I (and I hope many of you) have enjoyed the ride, it is time to say good-bye to one of the manga series hosted on the site: Break Blade has been licensed by CMX and off it goes. Into the wild blue. Please support the author and publisher by buying it! (I sure will if I get my finances out of the red... mumblegrumble)

Bye-bye!
Anyway, in our ongoing effort to make sure that you people get your reading material delivered in the comfort of your home, our overcompensating urges offer you not one, but three new titles for your reading pleasure. Which? Read more to find out!

Spotlight Preview: Cross Game
Posted by AJtheFourth on Friday, May 8th 2009 |

Amidst the swirling rumors of steroids that are sweeping through baseball culture right now, it's hard to forget what pleasure the game can bring you, especially as a child. If you, like me, Staff Writer AJtheFourth, are feeling disheartened, then there's no better series this season to perk up your spirits, about baseball and life, than Cross Game.
So push aside the sordid affairs of A-Rod and 'Manny being Manny.' Like baseball on its best of days, Cross Game has an amazing amount to offer any viewer, even if you're not into sports at all.

Spotlight Prevew: Eden of the East
Posted by xenocrisis0153 on Tuesday, May 5th 2009 |

|
A new series has emerged for Spring 2009... one so good that it has lured Website Content Administrator xenocrisis0153 out of anime reviewing "retirement" to write a quick article. If you've read the Anime-Source.com Spring 2009 Preview Guide, then you're probably already aware that Higashi no Eden/Eden of the East is the recommended sensation of the season, but if you weren't convinced by the words of the staffers there, then maybe this full preview article will show you the way.
If you're a fan of mystery, drama, action, and romance, or you just love to delve in the beautiousness of what animation today is capable of, then Eden will not disappoint. 11 episodes from Production I.G. deliver a truly engaging mystery heavily related to the Post-9/11 world we all live in, and trying to fix this hellish mess of a world we've all created. May our savior protect us... Noblesse Oblige!!!

Have you ever wanted to achieve something greater than your clumsy self could possibly manage? Far from writing herself off as a hopeless mess, or realizing that she's a hopeless mess, Yui Hirasawa is learning to play guitar in order to save her high school's Light Music Club. Will she succeed? Well...we don't know that yet, but join me, AJtheFourth, as we learn a bit more about her story in one of the most talked about new series, K-ON!

GTX Fan Appreciation Contest - Final Results

Public voting on the winner of the GTX Fan Appreciation Contest ended a few days ago. This was an art/creativity-contest based on the stories shared in one of our daily-features here at Anime-Source.com; the "GTX: Great Teacher Xeno" blog serial... stories about teaching English in the Japanese public school system (elementary and middle school).
The list of the final results is posted. Also included are the runners'-up submissions (more cuteness, more comedy), as well as the prizes that will be awarded. Be sure to check back to our site often to see what contest is happening next!
