Favorite Anime Opening Survey: Results 100-21
Posted by xenocrisis0153 on Thursday, July 3rd 2008 |
|
|
It's been over a month since we closed the polls on our latest survey. We apologize for the longer-than-usual wait time for the results. I blame the schools... they seem to think finals and graduations are more important than anime-themed survey results. The nerve of some people, seriously!!
Nevertheless, the time has come and we thank everyone for their patience. Now it's only appropriate that we reward such patience with what we promised... the listing of the anime openings YOU all chose as your favorites of all time. Presented here are the winners for ranks 100 through 21. The top 20 will be coming not far behind.
Read on! Check out the winners! See how your favorites did! See if your comments were chosen!!

Staff Interview #6 - Leoxjm
Posted by kingroxas on Wednesday, June 18th 2008 |
|
|

The link to Leoxjm's interview has been fixed!
Hey Everyone,
The weekly Staff Interview column is back!
Instead of introducing this interview in the usual fashion, I'll open with a question:
What does Code Geass, Ghost in the Shell, and Fafner
have in common?
You'll just have to ask Leoxjm, AKA the Manga Administrator, or rather, I'll ask him in this week's edition of Anime-Source's "Staff Interviews!"
Click on the "read more" link to read the entire interview.

Make-a-Mecha Final Days
Posted by ddogt432 on Tuesday, June 17th 2008 |
|
|

Ending Saturday, June 21!
It's the last five (5) days of this contest. You guys have until the end of this Saturday to get your entries in. I'm not putting a time for the deadline because I hate dealing with timezones, I hope you guys understand :p. Just get your entries in at a reasonable time and they'll be considered for judging.
Remember the categories are
Staff Favorite
Users' Favorite
Most Accurate
Most Creative
These categories were intended to give you guys the most flexibility in choosing your mecha, materials, and methods of creation. Most Creative is going to be based mostly on creativity in material and creation choice, but something else in your entry may be considered so flagrantly creative that it causes you to win the $50 allocated to that category!
I've again linked to the contest Q&A forum thread in the Read More section, and, as always, you can reach the official contest rules by clicking either the top banner or the mini-banner in this post.

After another delay (albeit, shorter this time), I finally can put the cap on this report. It was a fun convention and I recommend it to anyone looking for an adventure, but there are a few things to watch out when attending this convention. Read the report to see what happened at this year's Anime Central convention!

ConReport - AnimeCentral 2008 (Part 1)

Sorry sorry sorry... I am way behind with this report. When I came back from Chicago, I had a lot of unexpected occurrences happen to me that forced me to put off working on this project. My apologies to all the convention organizers and attendees who may have been waiting for this. And even so, I'm breaking this up into two sections so I can get the content out even faster. I plan on having everything done before the upcoming weekend ends.
So without further adue, I present the first half of my official convention report on the weekend I attended AnimeCentral 2008. This portion of the coverage includes, the basic facts of the weekend, a look at the facilities, the rundown of the Guests of Honor, and some exploration of the Dealers' Room & Artists' Alley.
